Welcome to Photos.KRD, a free gallery for photography of Kurdistan. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Your account

You need an account to upload, like, or follow. When you register you give us either an email address or a mobile number, and you must be able to receive messages at it — that is how we confirm the account is yours and how you recover access if you forget your password. Keep the details accurate and up to date.

Keep your password private, and do not let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has gained access to it.

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. Do not impersonate another person or organisation, and do not create accounts to evade a suspension.

Your photographs

You keep full ownership and copyright of every photograph you upload. Nothing here transfers your rights to us.

By uploading, you grant Photos.KRD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store your photograph and display it on the platform in the sizes we generate, with credit to your profile. This licence exists only so the site can show your work, and it ends when the photograph is removed — except for copies that remain temporarily in backups.

Upload only work you created yourself or clearly have the right to share. Do not upload anything that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes another person's copyright, privacy, or dignity. If a photograph shows an identifiable person in a private setting, make sure you have their agreement to publish it.

Note that uploaded images are re-encoded, which removes hidden metadata such as GPS coordinates. Do not rely on this as a privacy guarantee — check that the visible content of a photograph does not reveal something you would rather keep private.

Using the site

Please do not:

  • scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy photographs or profiles, whether by hand or with automated tools;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, or areas of the site that are not yours;
  • probe, scan, or test the security of the service, or interfere with its normal operation;
  • use the site to distribute malware, spam, or misleading content;
  • re-publish someone else's photographs elsewhere without their permission.

We keep security records of activity on the site so we can detect and investigate abuse. What those records contain is set out in our privacy policy.

Moderation

Every photograph and profile picture is reviewed by a moderator before it appears publicly, so there is normally a wait between uploading and publication. We may reject or remove content, or suspend or close an account, where these terms are broken. We aim to be fair and consistent, and you can contact us if you believe a decision was wrong.

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright or privacy, tell us through the contact page with enough detail to identify it, and we will review it promptly.

Ending your use

You can stop using Photos.KRD at any time and ask us to delete your account and your photographs. We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly or seriously breaks these terms, and in clear cases of abuse we may do so without notice.

The service

Photos.KRD is provided free of charge and as-is. We work hard to keep it available, accurate, and safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service or that it will always be free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site, and we recommend you keep your own copies of any photograph you upload.

We may update these terms as the site develops. When we make a significant change we will update the date at the top of this page, and continued use after that means you accept the revised terms.
