Cookie policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Photos.KRD uses only a small number of essential, first-party cookies — set by this site and readable only by this site. We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not share cookie data with anyone.

What we use cookies for

  • Keeping you signed in. When you log in, a cookie holds a random identifier that tells our server the browser is still yours, so you are not asked for your password on every page. It carries no personal details and expires when your session ends or when you log out.
  • Protecting forms. The same sign-in cookie underpins the check that stops another website from submitting forms on your behalf without your knowledge.
  • Remembering your language. A cookie stores whether you chose English, Kurdish, or Arabic, so the site opens in that language next time. It lasts up to a year and holds nothing but that choice.
  • Recognising your display. A short-lived cookie holds basic characteristics your browser reports, such as window size and time zone. This is used alongside our security records to distinguish a genuine visitor from an automated attack. It is cleared when you close your browser.

None of these cookies follow you to other websites, and none are used to build a profile of you for marketing.

Fonts loaded from elsewhere

The typefaces on this site are served by a third-party font provider. That is a request to another server rather than a cookie, but it does mean your IP address is visible to that provider when a page loads. It sets no cookies through this site.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and every public part of the site still works without them — browsing photographs, profiles, and categories all work fine. Blocking them does mean you cannot stay signed in, since the sign-in cookie is what keeps you logged in between pages, and the site will not remember your language.
